Why I started Take Me Riding

I live near the Northern Rivers Rail Trail in New South Wales, and riding it is one of my favourite things to do. Out on the trail, I kept noticing people riding with adaptive bike trailers, bringing along a child or an adult who couldn't ride on their own. I thought these trailers were amazing, and I wanted more families to know they exist.

Frequently asked questions

Can I tow an adaptive trailer with an e-bike?

Yes. Wike adaptive trailers work with bicycles, e-bikes and tadpole-style recumbent trikes. They are not for use with motorised vehicles such as motorbikes, mopeds or scooters.

Are your trailers suitable for adults?

The Wike Special Needs Extra Large takes passengers up to 178 cm tall and 90.7 kg. The Large suits older children and teens up to 162 cm and 57 kg.

Can I use NDIS funding?

Take Me Riding is an NDIS registered provider. Call us on 0435 577 395 or email admin@takemeriding.com.au to talk through your plan.

Do the trailers fold for transport?

Yes. Wike adaptive trailers fold flat for storage and transport. The Large folds to 99 × 71 × 30.5 cm and the Extra Large to 101 × 78.5 × 35.5 cm.
